Rachel Hull

Welcome!

Thanks for visiting my portolio. This is just a taste of who I am as a designer. Being able to improve lives through my work, whether that's minimizing frustration and adding delight to a user's experience or advocating for a cause is what motivates me to pursue my career with the attitude of a lifelong learner.

As an INFP on the Meyer's Briggs and a 4 on the Enneagram, I run on empathy. Balance is important to me, and this results in being a mix of logic and intuition. I'm fascinated by personality and learning about the different ways we all gather and process information. This underlying desire to understand people guides my design choices as I create for users. All the possibilities of what a project could turn out to be excite me, and designing with humility strengthens my work as I collaborate with others.

I grew up in rural New Hampshire romping through the woods with my six siblings. Being in the mountains is to be home. I fell in love with the idea of designed movement after my mom put me in ballet class at the age of eight. There are many who pushed me to become who I am today, but I must recognize Brandi Nylen Reed as my most influential teacher. She instilled in me a yearning for choreographed movement, and although I changed my career pursuit from ballet to product design, I carry with me the drive, creativity, and self-awareness I learned in her classes.
